Virtual Pacific Career Fair - Winter 2023

Welcome to the Virtual Pacific Career Fair registration page, hosted by Douglas College, Capilano University, the University of the Fraser Valley, and Vancouver Community College.

Covering an area from the Fraser Valley to the North Shore, the Virtual Pacific Career Fair is open to students and alumni across all programs from the four institutions and is intended to enable companies and not-for-profit organizations to fulfill their recruitment needs by marketing current and upcoming job and volunteer opportunities directly to skilled talent.

When: Thursday, March 2, 2023, 10:30 AM – 01:30 PM PT

Event Programming Schedule:

• 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM – Keynote address
• 11:00 AM – 01:00 PM – Students engaging with employers
• 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM – Employer Panel – best ways and deal breakers to connect on LinkedIn following up after the Career Fair.

Where: Hopin – the first all-in-one event platform optimized for connecting that allows live one-on-one conversations, virtual expo booths, speed networking, full-fledged live events, and video conferencing.

Package includes: 

• platform orientation session and a speaker session will be hosted on Thursday, February 23, 2023, 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM PT; 
• customized virtual booth with logo and guide to showcase your organization and career opportunities on the Hopin platform;
• invite up to 3 company representatives per booth;
• options for 1-on-1 or group sessions with students and alumni using Hopin chat and video conferencing tools; 
• access to Douglas College, Capilano University, University of The Fraser Valley, and Vancouver Community College job posting platforms.

Refund policy:

Cancellation deadline: February 8, 2023, by 3:30 PM PT (Eventbrite fee is not refundable).

Full refund except for the Eventbrite fee by February 8, 2023, 3:30 PM PT

Any organization that registers after the cancellation deadline will be charged in full, irrespective of any cancellations received.

Refunds will not be available based on booth traffic.

Past event data indicates students from the following areas of study are most likely to attend the virtual career fair:

• Business & Professional Studies (Marketing, Communication, Logistics, Legal Studies, Office Administration)

• Arts& Sciences, STEM

• Fine & Applied Arts (Digital Design, Animation & Visual Effects, etc..)
